Kenneth Forward
Kenneth T. Forward is a devoted advocate for community, mentorship, and creating pathways for future generations. A proud Bay Area resident with roots on both coasts, Kenneth’s involvement with STEM In Living Color reflects his unwavering belief in the power of early exposure to science, technology, engineering, and math. For Kenneth, this event is not just about sparking interest; it’s about lighting a fire of possibility in young minds, empowering them to dream bigger and reach further.
By day, Kenneth serves as the Program Manager for Employee Resources Group (ERG)/Engineering Network Group (ENG) and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E). In this role, he champions cultural and career development initiatives, mentors future leaders, and fosters community connections that strengthen both the workplace and broader society. Kenneth is also a co-founder of PG&E’s SALT (Strategy Allies Leading Transparency) Task Force, working to build trust and operationalize values-driven leadership across the organization.
With over 30 years of professional experience spanning energy, transportation, construction, and technology industries—and a career impact of over $1 billion in business outcomes—Kenneth’s professional achievements are matched only by his passion for service. He is the PG&E President of the NSBE(National Society of Black Engineers) Network and an active leader in numerous community, professional, and mentoring organizations.
Kenneth holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Electrical and Metallurgical Engineering from Washington State University and the University of Idaho, along with minors in mathematics, physics, statics, and philosophy. When he’s not mentoring young engineers or building community programs, you’ll find Kenneth enjoying music, good food, working out, volunteering, or spending quality time with family and friends.
